Volunteer Options

Here is a listing of volunteer opportunities for our club.*

1.) Membership Drive:  Could you spare 4 hours of time on a Saturday? We are always looking for someone to volunteer a little time at our clubhouse or one of the dealerships where we sell memberships/registrations ( HK Powersports in Hooksett NH and MOM's in Manchester NH. Usually 4 hours on a Saturday ( 9am-1pm ).  Please contact our Board of directors for more info at Volunteer for Membership drive.

2.) Social Events: Do you enjoy planning parties and events? Would you be willing to donate some time to assist preparing/serving food and beverages, setting up the clubhouse before or after an event? Usually 2-3 hours are needed for an event. Please contact Susan Weiss for more info at Volunteer for Social events.

3.) Trail Work Parties: Would you like to know a way to enjoy our trails even more? Volunteer to come clear trails with us this fall! You can take pride in the trails knowing that you had a hand in making them nice and safe. Usually work parties are 8am-noon either Saturday or Sunday. Please contact our trail masters for more info Volunteer for trail work Party.

4.) Groomer Operators: The Southern NH SnowSlickers groom over 110 miles of trails... typically 6 nights per week ( weather permitting ). We groom Bear Brook State Park, Pawtuckaway State park, and the Tower hill/ Manchester Water works area. Groomer Operators have to take a state mandated class ( no fee - class is done right at our clubhouse ) then there is a training period of 15-30 hours with a trainer ( done at night on our trail system ). This volunteer position is the most demanding as we usually go out 4-6 hours ( sometimes more ) and we typically look for someone willing to make a commitment to groom the same night every week, although we do train people in order to fill in for those times that our regularly scheduled operators cannot go out ( float position ). If interested in learning more please contact Dave Labbe at Volunteer to be groomer operator.

5.) Equipment Maintenance/Repair: We have 4 groomers ( 2 BR 180's, a BR 110 and a Skandik ), 4 drags, a tractor, a UTV, several chainsaws and pole saws, a few hog brushers and trailers that we regularly service. If have any experience or would like to learn please contact Scott Malo at Volunteer for equipment maintenance.

6.) Is there something that we missed on this list? Do you have an idea on something that you can do for the club? Looking for other volunteer opportunities? Please contact our club President Steve Lord Other Volunteer possibilities.
